Carlton Griggs and New Jersey’s Musical Heritage

As far as music goes, for such a small state New Jersey has been the birthplace of many famous musicians across genres. The most famous rockstar still living who was born and bred in the Garden State is Bruce Springsteen, ‘The Boss’, who was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1949. Springsteen has cited from an early age being musically inspired by a fellow New Jersey singer, Frank Sinatra. Sinatra was born in Hoboken to Italian parents, and grew up in the swing era where nearby musical events cultivated his music talent for years. Sinatra and Springsteen are now two of the best-selling artists of all time and are part of a long tradition of famous music talent that has come from New Jersey.

As a born and raised New Jersey citizen, Carlton Griggs’ hobbies include being a keen music fan from an early age, specifically rock and roll. He is a certified Mazda Sales Consultant, who has a degree in Business Management from Fairleigh University and has in the past been a successful landscape gardener. Like many fans of rock and roll, he thinks as a genre it has the ability to integrate generations of listeners. Its influence has sustained throughout the decades, and for many years and likely many more years to come it has provided catharsis through listening - and is a great way to release frustrations. This is as relevant for the 9-5 worker as it is to the angst ridden teenager.

Although Bruce Springsteen is certainly the first New Jersey rock musician that comes to mind, there have been many others that claim Garden State heritage, including Bon Jovi, My Chemical Romance, Sharon Van Etten, the Ramones’ drummer, and Patti Smith. Rock music has had a unique influence across cultures worldwide, from heavy metal to punk, classic rock to alternative rock, it has inspired emerging musicians to develop and expand their musical talents. New Jersey has been the proud host of many significant music events, the Giants Stadium, Asbury Park, and of course Atlantic City have been notable locations for performers.

As well as his musical interest, outside of his work Carlton Griggs and his football passion have also been noted. He has worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Mazda, and has always loved cars - and driving to rock music is usually one the most cathartic of pastimes. Carlton Griggs and His Football Passion

Carlton Griggs – Pros & Cons to Being a Salesman

Carlton Griggs has exemplary salesmanship, which is due to his vast amounts of his experiences he has obtained through working at several different companies. Carlton has worked as a customer sales representative at Fessenden Hall Inc., at teller at Commerce Bank, at tennis instructor with Haddon Heights Tennis Club, a warehouse associate at Ginsey, at part-time manager at GameStop, a landscape architect at Ray Down’s Complete Landscaping, and finally a manager trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car where he is currently employed.

Carlton Griggs makes sure to always uphold superb salesmanship and high standards at each of the positions he holds. Having a career in both sales and customer service can be very challenging but it can also be rewarding. It is also very dependent on the type of sales jobs you have and what company you are working for. In order to find the best fit for you it is essential to do extensive research on the company before you accept the job with them, because at some companies the negatives might out weigh the positives and all of the good aspects of sales jobs might not hold up at this company.

One of the primary reasons people want to enter into the field of sales is due to the potential that they have to earn money. Not only will be you offered a base yearly salary but you are also able to receive commission for the sales that you make. This concept of commission is what people really view as a great opportunity to make as much as you are willing to put into it, because most other jobs are annual salary and there is not a possibility to make more than what your salary actually is. Sales positions also generally offer a large benefits package that includes, car allowance, commission, bonuses, even trips to exotic locations, cell phones, laptops, expense accounts and much more.  On the flip side sales jobs can be quite the challenge, because in order to receive that high income you have to work extremely hard and deliver on your goals and performance, you are directly held accountable for how much you do or do not make which leads to a lot of pressure and stress on individuals.

It takes a human resources expert to know the best ways to make the most out of the opportunities a sales job can offer, such as entrepreneurship, flexibility, and challenges.
